Axel is known as kind of a spontaneous and rather amusing viscet. In his childhood, he was rather clumsy, falling out of his egg as soon as it opened and seeming to almost never recover, though really he just enjoyed fooling his parents for the most part. He was curious about everything, as every child would be, though lots of the time he ended up just hurting himself one way or another. As he grew up, his child wonders never seemed to cease. He will wander away and someone will have to find where in the world he has gone to, when he’s off chasing a butterfly or trying to chase a squirrel up a tree. He strives to make others laugh, and does so by trying to incorporate what they seem to get amusement out of and then creates a joke, scene, or even facial expression out of it. Just having company that enjoys him around is good enough for him though, as long as you can keep up!
Art/Story--{
Being a knight was all I wanted to be. I had seen countless battles between viscets, but they only used their bare paws and whatever was around them. I wanted to be different; I wanted to rule the planet with an iron sword at my side and a helmet on my head. I was going to be the talk of the town, and I would be victorious. But, as a child, I was not entirely gifted with the side of strength in my body.
I was always clumsy, falling over my own tail or tripping on plain nothing. I couldn’t keep my focus straight ahead, I’d always end up flailing to the left or right. My parents just said that I was so smart, my head was large, and so it messed me up. Since my mom was sort of clumsy herself, she’d always offer me support, and was usually there to clean up my messes if I couldn’t even fix them up enough to make much of a help. My father, being the patient man he is, always offered encouragement, and I loved it. I looked up to him so often. Since he was so helpful, it really helped me push myself to achieving my goals.
Sadly, when I tried to become a knight, I failed in my personal missions. Whether it be that I set the bar too high, or I couldn’t complete the normal missions, I never felt like a true knight. No matter the motivation I gave myself, it was just too hard. Then, I found the job of a squire at a local horse ranch.
The job was simple: assist the knight, and give him the best tactics, kind of like a caddy in golf. They walked the horses, kept tally of weapons, etc. It sounded perfect, and once I started my training, I felt magnificent. I found my passion, I found the thing I could work for. And after months of training, I was officially dubbed the blue knight’s squire at Medieval Times. I was so excited, I could hardly even stand on two paws. I began my work at every other night, excluding weekends at first. I switched out with another guy, who was pretty well rounded with the job. I became the full-time squire after a time, and there was never a more exciting moment as the King of Medieval Times dubbed me the official assistant of the Blue Knight. Though the King wasn’t real, and the whole thing was a joke among the staff, I never felt better.
To this day, I am still working to maybe take the Blue Knight’s place, but at this time, I am working to be the Green Knight instead. The Blue Knight is the cream of the crop, and I know my lesson: I have to work to earn my place. Though it might take forever, I’ll reach my goal one day, I just know I will.
